Connect your agent.
Ask your agent to connect to LayoutLark and start sign-in. You review access in your browser; the agent can then continue working on your saved designs.
Checking connection…
https://www.layoutlark.com/mcpAdd the server in your agent’s MCP settings.Choose Streamable HTTP and OAuth authentication.
Choose Connect or Sign in in your agent app.It opens a LayoutLark authorization page. Use the same browser and website address where you signed in.
Review the account and choose Allow access.Your agent app receives the token automatically. Never paste your password, callback URL, or tokens into chat.
Ask your agent to list your projects. Then describe the screen or prototype you want to create. Changes appear here and can be undone.
Read the agent connection guide for Muse Code, Claude, Claude Code, and Codex setup. When authentication is required, start the client’s OAuth login, wait for browser approval, then verify access and resume the user’s LayoutLark task.
Your browser login can be reused during authorization. The agent still needs its own connection; signing into the website alone doesn’t create one.
Connect with Muse Code
Muse supports OAuth. Ask it to follow the agent connection guide, configure the MCP server if needed, and start its native login flow. It should open a browser for you to approve access and wait until the connection succeeds.
Newly configured servers may need a new Muse session before their tools appear. Check /mcp in Muse, then continue your original design request.
Connect with Claude Code
Ask Claude Code to follow the agent connection guide. It can add the HTTP server and run claude mcp login layoutlark to open browser approval. After approval, it should verify the connection and continue your design.
Connect with Claude web or desktop
In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and add a custom connector using the MCP URL above. Choose OAuth sign-in and “Register automatically” if asked for the client registration method. No client secret is needed.
Approve access in LayoutLark, then enable the connector in your conversation. Team and Enterprise accounts may need an administrator to add the connector first.
Connect with Codex
Run this in the terminal on the computer running Codex. Complete the browser approval it opens.
codex mcp add layoutlark --url https://www.layoutlark.com/mcpIf you already added the server, reconnect with:
codex mcp login layoutlarkAfter approval, return to Codex. If the server isn’t listed in the current chat, reload its MCP connections or restart the app.
Why does it return to localhost?
Desktop clients such as Codex receive the one-time authorization code through a temporary callback on your computer, usually 127.0.0.1 or localhost. Keep the connecting app or terminal open until it reports success, then close the callback tab.
If the callback fails, start Connect or Sign in again from the agent app. Don’t forward the callback URL or retry it on another computer.
Your client must support MCP OAuth. Plain URL requests can’t reuse browser cookies. Access is limited to the account you approve and can be revoked in Account → Connected applications.
